Your Responsibilities and Opportunities As our new colleague, your role will be to:

• Prioritize and schedule batch jobs in TWS/OPC/IWSz (Tivoli Workload Scheduler), subject to schedule parameters including automated scheduling features in the Applications.
• Create and maintain JCL (Job Control Language) according to our standards and policies.
• Implement application changes:
• JCL promotion
• Code Promotion.
• TWS/OPC changes (jobs, dependencies, special resources, schedules etc.)
• DB2 changes
• Working with Incidents, problems, and changes in the ServiceNow tool according to the ITIL foundation principles
• Working with requests for changes in pre-production environments
• Perform second level support on batch incidents.
• Understand the dependencies between the many different systems (environments, LPARS, DB2 and Sysplex), online/batch processing and the importance of completion in time incl. output to be delivered as scheduled.
• In the TWS/OPC, ensure that all jobs in production error queue are solved as part of the Incident process.
• Participate in small projects to improve quality or efficiency in our area and collaborate with the developers.
• Coordinate and ensure Continuous Improvement with Development Managers to ensure continual improvement of quality in batch jobs, documentation, cooperation etc. We imagine that you:
• Have experience with the field of IT operations planning, batch scheduling or is eager to learn.
• Have general mainframe experience OR experience in other large-scale, mission-critical, and complex systems.
• Know your way around standard ITIL process and principles.
• Are detail-oriented, thorough, focused on quality and long-term solutions, structured with great focus on customers.
• Are innovative, proactive and take responsibility for ensuring the right balance between throughput and quality of work.
• Have solid communication skills both written and verbally in English incl. ability to adapt your communication also across cultures.
